The Sony WALKMAN revolutionised the way people listened to music when it was launched on 1st July 1979. For the first time, music fans could listen to their favourite bands whenever and wherever they wanted, meaning that the WALKMAN quickly became an iconic symbol of youth culture. The WALKMAN has evolved along with music over three decades, with various incarnations such as the DISCMAN and the MINIDISC.
Now Sony has unveiled a brand new range of WALKMAN MP3 players – again redefining portable music as it did 26 years ago. Available in 20GB and 6GB versions, the WALKMAN comes in a range of colours (violet, silver and pink), has a bright white display and comes with matching earphones.
