Biography

Denis O'Regan began working life as a city insurance broker, but soon began moonlighting as a photographer for rock bands- often covering up to seven gigs a week. After his first picture was published by Jackie Magazine – a shot of Queen at the Hammersmith Odeon taken on a £5 camera smuggled in under his jacket – it was all uphill from there. Chucking in his job in the city, Denis became NME's most prolific contributor. Going on tour with acts such as Queen, Thin Lizzy, The Rolling Stones, Duran Duran and David Bowie and covering momentous events such as the original Live Aid and the recent Live 8, Denis is one of music's most well known and admired photographers.
